Since it opened in 1999, hundreds of dogs have passed through the kennels doors and have gone on to wonderful new homes and families. On this page you will see some of those lucky dogs in their forever homes, and hear how they've settled in and how they've enriched their new families' lives.

Hi Ena,

Glen and Coco are getting on just great, they are the best of pals although she would be completely lost without him.
Hopefully now she will be fully grown, she is very strong and glen has his work cut out to keep up with her. She still tries to bully him around, but a swift raaarf soon puts her back in her place.

She is so loving, very pleased to see everyone (including bull terriers), still got a lot to learn but she is turning out to be a smashing companion.
We realize more and more how extremely lucky we were to get her.
She is very much a man's dog, neither me or my dad can get our feet turned for her. Always and forever falling over her, especially in the dark mornings when there are no lights on in the house in the morning!!!!

Hope all is well with you all, here are some new photos.

Take care

Love
John, Amber, Glen and Coco.

Dan and Chad >>
Posted: 22nd April 2006

Tyson the six month old Rottweiler, who is now Dan, he came in on the Monday and went to stay with Catherine, Lenny and Chad (another one of ours) on the Tuesday morning. Catherine & Lenny have really worked wonders with the dogs, especially Chad because he wanted to "kill" Dan at first! Now look at them. (Chad is the wee dog who used to terrorise Mhairi!)

This couple so have a way with dogs and nothing is ever too much trouble.

This is the couple whose three dogs are also on rainbow bridge.

Damian the Sheep and lots of Rotties! >>
Posted: 22nd April 2006

We rehomed two of the Rotties in the pic with the tongue!!! The one on the left is Max and the one on the far side is Roxy who was just a wee puppy when she went out, the one in the middle is Tiny it was to her home Max & Roxy went to stay.

Then Mhairi & Kevan went on holiday dropped into Fort William to see Tegan another Rottie pup we had rehomed and met the wee lamb in the 2nd pic, to cut a long story short came home told us about him!

The couple in Fortwilliam also have two collie's, two terriers, a spaniel and saved this wee lamb oh and forgot had four Rottie's as well!!!

Then we told them about Jack a young Rottie male, Frank & myself went up to Fort William with Jack, as you can see from the photo behind the gate all the dogs got on really well. Just as well they stay in the country.

We went for a walk with all the dogs and Damian the lamb it was wonderful, then I asked what would happen to him and was told he was destined for the freezer!!!!! Now we couldn't have that could we, so I took a photo of the lamb and sent it to Jack who is the editor of the Leader, he gave him pride of place on the front page so the story had a wonderful happy ending, the couple who have the three Rotties very kindly gave Damian a home for life and even got him a wee friend and she is named Molly, the 4th and 5th pics are them a year down the line.

This is Aimi with her "brother" and her new "dad", her mum is waiting to welcome her at home. Aimi is lucky the family who gave her to us for rehoming have been so concerned and hoped we would get a good home for her, well she is now going to live in the country, so we think we have found her the best home possible. Her new family are really really nice!

I have been at the kennels since December last year, thought I had cracked it with a new home once before, but their dog didn't like me. Well great news is I have found a brilliant new home where I will be the only pet!

My mum and dad sadly lost Murphy their Rottie boy last year. Only now do they feel ready to move on and take in another dog to share their life. How lucky am I that they "CHOSE" me. You know the saying though everything comes to he who waits patiently. The kennels will be a sad place tonight without me, but I do know they are really so happy I have found my "ain" folk. I will be going back for a holiday though, so they haven't seen the last of me!

Lots of Love,
Bear xx.

Hi folks, Bailey here! This is me with my new mum & dad and and my sisters and brother getting ready to go home.

Amanda & Chris (mum & dad) are so so nice and just love us all to bits, even after Ena told them I demolished a chair last night at the kennels, they just said so he's a puppy! Robbie the black one actually came from here and Tia she was due to come here but they took her first, and Morgan (sable girl) she was one of a litter of puppies that came here, again she didn't make the kennels, and me well I only arrived yesterday, and now I'm away, soooo very happy.

Bailey x.

Jean is one of our fosterers, and she was fostering one of the many litters of pups we had in over Christmas. But she just couldn't bear to part with one of wee pups, Lucy. So, here is Jean, our 'failed fosterer' with her new addition Lucy!!

Hello Ena,

Roscoe is doing really well on his lead, he sits at the kerb now before we cross, but we are taking it slowly though before we let him off the lead, we have had him running to us but you can see he would love to run off if he could get away with it.

As promised here are some pictures of our beautiful boy,

thanks
