Millie is a Beagle born on 12 February 2006.
She is well trained and walks to heel (but being a hound - sometimes with a little persuasion!) and is best walked on a long extending lead. She is strong however and she cannot be let off her lead.Being a hound she will run off at any opportunity and will not return for anything or anyone! If she runs off she has to be traced or found – she will not return of her own accord!
Will respond to commands ‘heel’ ‘come here’, ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘lie down’ and ‘no’ and recognises her bed as her sanctuary. She is also used to an indoor kennel and although only used occasionally she will stay in it without being distressed.
She has been trained to stay off furniture, beds etc.
She eats Wafcol dry food morning and night (mostly dry but sometimes with a little gravy). She drinks only water. Apart from the odd ‘doggy’ biscuit she does not get fed any tit-bits (chocolate etc) but will sniff around and will eat anything edible (and sometimes not edible!) that she finds.
She loves company and is very affectionate and good natured, especially with children and loves to play with, and fetch, a toy.
She loves to be outside and will stay out for hours pegged out on a cable. (or in an enclosed garden)
She is used to spending time in boarding kennels when owners have been on holiday.
She was spayed in Feb 2007 and her inoculations are up to date.
She does not travel well in a car though and gets terribly car sick.
She is micro chipped. She is only very reluctantly being re-housed due to owners illness and change of circumstances.
Thanks for looking, Millie
