Blue & Sky xx >> |
Posted: 2nd August 2014
Hi Ena and Frank
As promised, have attached some photos of our gorgeous girls! It's difficult to get them both together and standing still! They are settling in so well, it really is unbelievable how much they are opening up their individual personalities now. They are off the lead now and are great with other dogs. We took them to the beach yesterday and they adored the water! Blue was leaping in from the bank without any hesitation; Sky was a little more sedate! Both are great little swimmers. Sky is very much the 'mother' whereas Blue is a bit of the 'tom-boy' but they get on so well with each other. They love sniffing and running around together. They are going in on Tuesday to get spayed - not something we are looking forward to but it is a necessity. They have both certainly done their 'bit' with regard to having puppies and it is their time to be free. They love going out in the car; Blue falls asleep straight away on the back seat while Sky sits and drives - until that is she too falls asleep! They are just an absolute joy and we both love them to bits!
Hope all is well with you both.
Kindest regards
Alison and Reta.
Thank you so very much for the update on your girls, how settled do they look and it hasn't taken them long to get used to the good life, xx

Baxter xx >> |
Posted: 25th July 2014
How lovely to hear from you Baxter and your right, we did have a wee soft spot as you were a very misunderstood wee lad till you found Liz and Steve, all you needed was lots of love and people who would understand you. Love the photo's xx
Hi all,
I’ve not written for a while so I thought I’d touch base and let you know how I am. I know Ena will be wanting to know. We had a wee soft spot for each other.
Well I’m doing just fine. I go for long walks and with this hot weather I like going paddling in the local burn. Megan swims but I like to just paddle. It doesn’t take much for me to get out of my depth what with my wee short hairy legs.
I’ve got lots of toys to play with but I’ve got a new game of hide and seek which I like very much. I hide under the throw and bark. Then Liz or Steve give me a fright and tickle me through the throw. I always jump but love them doing it.
You can see me under the throw in the attached photo. I’m the lump in the middle.
I also cool down on the kitchen floor tiles - see my back legs. I bet you can’t do that Ha! Ha!
I’ve made lots of new doggy pals. There is Jack and Dexter (both from Second Chance) and Jack the Schnauzer. Gregor and Jess both adopted whippets, Mirren the Rotti, Bess the Lasapsu, Finn the springer spaniel and the newest pal is Bonnie a 18 week old springer spaniel.
Liz says I’m a right wee charmer with the ladies (human and animal alike)
I hope you are all well.
Lots of bow wow love
Wee Baxter

Penny on Hols with Charley xx >> |
Posted: 20th July 2014
Hi Ena, Penny is having a great holiday. She has walked miles and absolutely loves running around with Charley.
The weather has been really hot but she is coping with it better than the rest of us. Went to Helmsley yesterday and she had a bit of Dad's crab roll Mmm.
Takes us ages to get anywhere because people keep stopping us to admire her (think this has put cp's nose a little out of joint lol....)
Aw poor Charley she is just as lovely, so so pleased that Penny has settled in so well and obviously gets on great with Charley xx.
Another Penny update, this wee one is doing so well xx
Hello Ena,
Back from holiday in Harrogate. We all had a lovely time though the weather was extremely hot for us all (not a complaint of course).
Just to let you know that Penny was at the Vet's today. She's been spayed and had her teeth scaled and polished. We noticed that she had a wee mark on her left eye, so asked the vet to investigate while she was knocked out. Turns out it was an old ulcer which had heeled. She cleans her eyes with her paws and we think she maybe caught it with her dew claw which was really sharp so the vet has trimmed that as well.
She is currently lying beside me feeling right old sorry for herself, quite rightly so. She managed a little bit scrambled egg which is a good sign.
Take her back to vets on Monday for checkup. I will let you know how she gets on.
She is adorable.
Regards
Margaret x

Scooby update xx >> |
Posted: 17th July 2014
Hi Ena & Frank,
I am having a fab time with my new family. I've settled in well, i'm now sitting and waiting when told, although when I'm hyper I don't listen.... We have enjoyed lots of walks, although I was a bad boy on wednesday as I ran after a ball in the park and didn't listen when my name was being shouted, so I'm not allowed off the lead just yet until they get used to me and I am a good boy and do as I'm told, hopefully that'll be soon...
Here is a few pictures of me....
This is me waiting in mummy coming out the kitchen....

Lovely Luna xx >> |
Posted: 17th July 2014
So, this is luna's birthday, her playing with her wee cousin Milo, and playing hide and seek at the meadies. She's taken to playing hide and seek lately, any wee gap in the hedges, bushes or trees and she finds it and goes exploring, meanwhile, we're looking for movement in the vegetation to track where she's going. Its like live action where's wally haha.
Happy birthday Luna.Had to be water though eh !!haha. She's looking so good thanks for the pics their very good xx.
