Posted: 22nd November 2013

Well Fraser came back for a visit today with ome lovely goodies for the residents and volunteers. Eileen thank you and Bob so very much. Although you didn't get to stay long as Fraser really doesn't like coming back into the kennels. He had a rare sniff out and about in the lane though. xx

Frank and myself visited Shadow and his mum today, Grant was also there nice to meet him. Some of you may remember Shadow he was the older Border Collie who was found up Oriel woods in Kirkcaldy, thankfully a lovely couple found him and brought him here, he was in a terible state but when he came out of their car he wagged his tail and gave us, what we now call his Elvis smile. He had obviously been out for awhile in the heat wave we had in the summer, as he drank water for two days as if he was never going to see another bowl of water. We were a bit worried by this but had his kidneys checked and he was fine. However he did have terrible skin problems and had to have a few baths a week to help this. To cut a long story short his mum had seen him on the web site and just fell in love with him. She came and visited him a few times till he was ready to go to his new home.Uncle Ian our Home Inspector did the home visit and the rest is history. He still attends the Dick Vet in Edinburgh and also gets a lovely Spa bath every week, how pampered is he bless him. He looks great we got the most wonderful smile and a lovely welcome from him, of course wee Alfie had to go and see his pal as well.

Shadow your looking great coat shining has put a bit of weight on. Jinty thank you so much for taking such good care of " Our " boyHope he enjoys many more years with you and his pals at the park. xxx.

Hi Ena,

I'm sorry it has been so long since we have contacted you - life has been pretty hectic here!

Buck is doing brilliantly. He is such a lovely dog and he has the most gentle nature. He has settled in well at home and has truly become a dog who enjoys his creature comforts! Everytime we go for a walk people stop and compliment him for his gorgeous looks and we love him so much. We had considered coming back to find him a friend because he loves other dogs so much however our household has expanded somewhat since we saw you and he now shares us with 7 month old twin girls! Buck is lovely with the girls and we are so pleased that they are going to grow up with such an amazing dog.

I've attached a couple a photographs for you.

Jo xx

Ellie update !! >>
Posted: 10th November 2013

Hi Ena

Just to let you know that Ellie has now had her second injection and was very good. For a little dog that wasn't in the habit of going out, she is the first at the door in the morning now, I am just so happy for her, as people in the park are saying didn't take her long to come out of her shell. Took her down to Jaws Paws for a wee winter coat, but they didn't have one to fit so have put one on order and are giving me a call when it arrives. Hope to pop out and visit in the next few weeks and have attached some photo's for you. Once again thank you for letting us give Ellie a home. Take care and see you soon.

Ps The last photo that I have attached is friends of ours wedding cake, they didn't want to cut into it. Two weeks after the wedding they went out and bought another westie. Cake was made by a lady in Leslie.
Cake looks fabulous very creative baker !!
Love
David, Christine, Sally, Maddie & Ellie xx
Hi Folks, thanks for the update on wee Ellie, You were destined to bring us the towels ect. that day Christine she only came into the afternoon before. xx

Fergie was in Poppy's place so she simply lay on him. All finished antibiotics apart from Fergie who has been left with another abscess and a sore throat. Duncan and Susie go in for more tests Monday so fingers crossed. Did I tell you that when Fergie got teeth out Poppy lay beside him all evening and licked him better which he seemed to like. Hope all is well xx
Lorraine how sweet they all get on so well now, Will keep fingers and paws crossed everything goes well for your wee guys at the vets. Thanks for the update xxxx
Aw look at wee Susie on the cushions so she can look out the caravan window. Again all lovely happy photo's Lorraine thank you. xxxx

I never reached the web site either, what a busy week I've had. First of all Sandra (our lovely groomer) came and had to take all my coat of I was that matted, then whisked down to the vets for the "snip", vac & microchipped. However the week ended very well when I was found a lovely new home with Roseanne & Jock sadly their Second Chance wee girl Tia, has passed away, but i'm sure she will be happy to know they have adopted another wee dog in need, which is me of course. Love Harley xx.

Hi everyone how lucky am I, only arrived at the kennels a couple days ago, never reached website, and guess what, I've found a new home already.

My folks chose a puppy from here way back in 2001,but sadly Buzz has gone to Rainbow Bridge and the family are devastated.

They now feel the time is right to welcome another Second Chance dog into their home and I'm the very lucky one. I'm sure Buzz would wish us all well. Love Rudi xx.

Nanook >>
Posted: 5th November 2013

Just received this stunning photo of "our girl" Nanook, some of you may remember it took awhile to find her " Forever " home. It was thanks to Harry at Kingdom K9 for all his help, he made it possible for her to join a loving caring family who have total committment for her. This is what her family say,

"Just a note to let you no that Nanook is well and doing great and is part of the family now. Here is a picture of her."

Thanks Charlie so pleased to hear she has settled so very well, she just needed the right family someone with the committment for her to come along. Hope her " brother " is fine too. xx

A very happy excited wee lad went to his new home today, he has the most gorgeous wee " sis " Annie . Just got this from his mum. HOW GOOD IS THIS. Thanks Lynn xx.

He was soo excited he wouldn't sit still, but the famous sausages did the trick long enough to get a photo !!!

Hi Ena and Frank
Well the family are home and my boy is sooooo good in the car for his first trip out. He loves his garden and the 2 of them have already happily ate each other's dinner. Both are cuddled up together beside me as think it's been an exciting day for all. Baxter loves Annie's toys and she brought them all out to play with. Just letting them run riot and even I didn't think they'd be so chilled together as quickly but both are now zonked.
