Since it opened in 1999, hundreds of dogs have passed through the kennels doors and have gone on to wonderful new homes and families. On this page you will see some of those lucky dogs in their forever homes, and hear how they've settled in and how they've enriched their new families' lives.

Posted: 15th December 2007

Hi Ena
Holly is settling in well and I have attached a couple of photos from her first day arrival, will take more this weekend.

The wee girl however is suffering from extreme separation anxiety! So this is something we will work very hard to help her with. She has only been left for short periods of time in the house and the car, but howls and cries inconsolably, also when Stewart went out one evening and I went to bed early, she howled for him too (she is not allowed to sleep in the bedroom). This is something which doesn't bother us too much as it will take her some time to settle in properly - she is already into a routine, and enjoys a walk with the big outdoor dogs. She is absolutely fascinated by the pony in the field next to the house, I don't know what she thinks it is!
I also had her to the beach yesterday and she loved it, although she wasn't so keen about being left in the car while I went to the shops! We also visited friends who have a Border terrier - she liked him, as well as my other friend the other night who has a Weimaraner (sorry for spelling).

Anyway its doggy tea time so better go and feed her.

Will keep in touch,

Amy, Holly and family.
X

Jay >>
Posted: 15th December 2007

This is Jay who came to us from Glasgow he now as you can see has a fantastic home where he is adored by all the family.

Hi Ena, Here are a couple of photos showing how happy Jay is in his
new home. He is exactly the dog we were looking for and we are so
grateful to you for matching us up!!
He is loving all the fun of the family and coping well with our many
visitors. We need to keep training him, particularly trying to get
him to stop growling at other dogs when he's on the lead, although
that seems to be getting better all the time.

Murphy and Tiser >>
Posted: 8th December 2007

This is Murphy, who was adopted a while ago, with Tiser, who has recently been adopted by the same family, with their young owner Gemma.

Murphy got a few rosettes, and Tiser the collie has quite a few rosettes and also won best in show, well done you two and I hope you are taking some "sweeties" home to Bob (another one of our dogs in the same family who stayed with dad). Bob is not so good at the moment with lots of people and dogs around but he is getting better.

I only arrived this week, it just so happened that the day I arrived there was a couple in that morning who have been waiting for a Rottie boy for what seems like ages, and they just pop down to the kennels now and then to see if any have arrived. Talk about fate! Plus they have had Rottie's and Gsd's before.

So, I am off to my new home this is my new mum & dad, don't they look nice!

I was featured in our local paper, the Fife Free Press, this week and guess what? I now have a new home!!!

Mum is really nice and she has a horse called Tegan who I will get to meet, I'm so excited I can hardly wait and the good thing is I now eat puppy food ect. This morning I had scrambled egg for breakfast with some puppy food mixed in then I had a drink of lactol, very satisfying!

Thanks to everyone who called offering me a home.

P.S. after the girls at the kennels saying I didn't eat dog food what do you think I did the moment a bag of food was put down in my new home? They have been trying to get me to eat this for a week!!

At last I have been CHOSEN, and it has been worth the wait!

This is me with my dad, sadly big Ace the Doberman who they adopted from here four years ago when he was five has sadly passed away. They now feel ready to have another wee dog in their life and they chose me.

Ena has already called about me I've had a great night and when she called I was away up the forest with my dad.
