Hello every one!

It's been a while since you heard from me! I was rehomed in December (12) 2004 and went to live in Stirling with Emma, Matt and brother Harry the Labrador cross.

I have been having a great time! I have been to lots of places and at the moment I am in Birmingham although I will be back in Scotland soon. I have just been on a farm in Cornwall and I could have stayed, trying to round everything up!

I went to puppy classes and did very well and now I am trying my paw at agility. I am very enthusiastic though! Emma says I am a comic genius, she finds my prat falls off the sofa very amusing.

I have also developed a love of men in uniform, especially policemen (swoon) but my biggest love in life are my sticks - there is a huge pile by the door ready for winter!

Please find attached a photo of me at the top of Ross Castle in Northumberland, surveying my land! :-) The second is up Dumyat.

Best wishes,

Jess.

P.S. I still think about my second chance friend Nero and wonder if he is getting on OK.

This is Woody who went "home" three years ago. He was found in a field when he was just weeks old, a poor wee thing with rickety front legs, and look what a handsome chap he has turned into. He is absolutely adored by his family. They tell us he has grown up into the perfect wee gentleman and is such a loving dog, he is so much fun and they are so proud of him.

I was the lucky girl who was rescued from a 'put to sleep' situation down south and then transported by some very kind people up here to Fife.

This is me with my lovely new mum & dad, getting ready for the journey home. I don't know who is most excited me or them!!!

Hello Ena

Tomorrow is the first anniversay of the day I met my new mum and dad, Kim and Helen, so I thought I'd send you some photos showing how I've got on.

You might remember me, though I was staying at Blairadam because the kennels at Thornton were so full at the time. Thank you so much for looking after me. I've now got a nice home in Dalgety Bay with a big garden. Mum and Dad work from home so I'm never on my own and take me for walks on the beach every day. As you can see I love the water. It's my spaniel side coming out!
I've also just been on my first camping holiday - two weeks on Mull. Even more walks! And I was allowed to take my favourite toy with me which you can see in one of the photos. I love it almost as much as my new family!

Keep up the fantastic work. You really changed this dog's life!

Lots of love

Bailey has left the building! This is him with his new "parents", they are so delighted with him, even when we showed them what he had chewed they said it's only wood and he's just a puppy!!!!! He so missed his pal Meg so it is nice to think he now has a home of his own too.

Hi Ena. Hope Yourself and Frank are fine. Just thought I would send you this wee picture of a dog looking very confused and wondering what he should do now!! I couldnt believe it but the cat seems to have finally accepted that Ben is here to stay. (It only took her 2 1/2 years!!!) They have always just accepted each other before and got on with it ie passing each other without a side glance or anything but yesterday as Ben was snuggling down for his nap after his walk, the cat just walked up to his basket, looked at him and climbed in beside him. As you can see from the photo there is a look of bewilderment on his face as if to say Hey, what's she doing in my bed?

Ben is fine as usual and loves the longer days as he can stay out longer. Mind you the weather has been pretty mixed but nothing bothers him as he is definetely an all weather dog.

Anyway Ena, better go as the grass is needing cut and I havent quite trained Ben to do that yet!

Cheers for now.
Ben and Angus

Hello Auntie Ena,

Long time no see! I thought I would give you a wee update on how I am getting on.

As you can see from the photos I am well and truly settled in, mum and dad are spoiling me. Every day I see my big brother Robbie and love playing with him, although I am still not getting on very well with my other brother 'Lucky the cat'!! (I keep barking at him because I am scared!)

I have also learned to swim in the sea and love going to the beach at weekends for walks. My favourite trick is playing football out the back garden. Training is coming along well, I am learning to walk to heel off the lead at the moment, but still need some practice!

My operation to get spayed was successful but I took a slight reaction to it which meant I had to get tablets from the vet and keep quiet for 2 weeks or so, to let the swelling go down. I am now fully recovered.

As you can see from the pictures mum and dad love having me and I am very happy here.

I am sure I will be even bigger the next time I see you and we look forward to 'Bark in the Park.'

Keep up the good work at second chance, hope everyone is well,

Lots of love,

Meg, Nicola and Ross

xxxx

Hi Ena,
Just a few pics of myself to all at second chance. You gave me my second chance and I haven't looked back since. My family love me and I them. I have to say that I am spoiled rotten, but heay, that's what is supposed to happen isn't it. My dad wasn't to keen to have me about at the start due to the loss of his last dog but it didn't take me long to work my magic on him and as such, he is fine now. I love swimming, walking and going anywhere in the car with them. Life is good and I just want to say thankyou for everything.

Cassie xx

Cassie is a great dog and is liked by everybody. Never had a bad thing said against her.

Regards
Bill & Jean Turk

Hey folks, thought I would introduce you to my new mum & dad aren't they lovely!! You should see my garden, and there's more the garden gate opens out to a great big park! Also, my mum doesn't work she will be with me all the time.

Thanks Auntie Catherine for not taking me into the vets three weeks ago, just think if you hadn't given me the chance I would not be here now to tell you my lovely happy ending. Your an angel.

Update 5th May:
Hi Ena here is an update about my new life. Yesterday mum got me a special doggy shampoo and gave me a bath my coat is now lovely and white. We then went to Glenrothes to meet the 3 grandchildren they all love me to bits. I also met Buttons their cat. I must be used to cats as I did not bother, but buttons not sure. but mum and dad and Aunty Janet think she will get used to me after a few visits. Also met Uncle Calum at Kirkcaldy aunty Audrey was at work but Calum says she will also think I am gorgeous. The grandchildren loved me so much their mum had to bring them through this afternoon to see me again. My mum thought I have been so good she gave me poached chicken for my tea tonight. Will see you all soon. love Pixie xx
