Noushka >>
Posted: 9th February 2011

Hi Ena,

Just thought we would update you on Noushka. We have had her for 18 months now, she turned 2 in December and she is the apple of our eye. She continues to be a great joy to us as she has developed into a really content dog. We have a friend who is a dog behaviourist and is helping us to improve her recall off the lead as she cannot resist going to play with other dogs in the vicinity. That is coming along well. The great thing is that our friend is also a keen photographer and has taken some gorgeous pictures of her in action that we wanted to share with you. He took about 50 but don't worry we only included a couple.
We can't thank you enough for letting us have Noushka, she has been a great addition to our family. I hope you continue to be so successful in 2011 and that more families have the wonderful fortune of being paired up with a dog in need.

Regards

Ruth and Kevin

Posted: 6th February 2011

Hi Guys
Thanks for the pics they are really good, love getting them he is a very handsome big boy.x

Hi Ena and all at the kennels.

Jed was 3 years on 27/01/11 and has been with us over 2 years now. (where does the time go)

He enjoys both his quiet walks up the hills or more manic runs at our nearby beach where even when ice was on the water he still had a swim brrrr.

Even although there were times early on when he was really testing our resolve all the hard work with him has paid off and he has turned into a fantastic boy.

We rescued 2 rabbits last year and Jed has even become more tolerant of them although that is only when they are safe in their hutch ha ha.

Attachd are a few photos of him and there is one with his favourite Scooby Doo toy.

We hope to visit you a some point soon.

Keep up the good work,

Gill and Billy

Hi All here are some pics, we shall send you more later, we are interested in your calender mum will look into this,,,, by the way aint I clever, typing emails, texts and sending pics,,,,, mum speaks fluent husky you know lolol

Polar xoxox

Hello auntie Ena

My mum wants to send you some pics of me and my new brothers and sisters so could you please send her your email address as we cant attach the pics in this.
I am doing just swell,,,,,I am fully recovered from my gastric bug. My mum says its like Ive never not been here. I wake them up early in the morning for a wee then run back up the stairs where I fly shouting geronimo through the air landing like a body slam on my mum whereby I then lick her and my dad. My sister Chinowoa also dives on the bed and we both coorey in between them trying to see who can get the most cuddles. After 5 we race down stairs and play in the living room, I think we may get banned from that now for a few days cos yesterday we had the petals from mums bouquet of flowers scattered and today we pulled the stuffing out of our duvet so it was like snow flakes, my mum chases us which we think is fun although we do have the good grace to look cute and sorry! I love my walk on the harness we look a real pack. We were all trying to eat the sheep poo the other day there. I am making my own mark and settling well. I love the garden and have helped dig some
new holes, I get chased for that also. I love watching the birds in the trees. It sounds as if I am being naughty all the time but I am not I promise. I am loved by all and enjoy my cuddles and getting to snuggle in on the beds and the couch. Mum and dad say to tell you that I am a good boy, and bringing them such fun. Chinowoa and I play all the time then we crash out, Scotia and Smirnoff get peace from Chinowoa now and Scotia is a little over weight so mum says it is good she has two of us to chase, she usually does this around the decking, thinks she is the queen bee up there and we love the chasing game it is such good fun.
Well hope we can send you the pics soon, and mum and dad say they will be down soon to visit with you also with us all.
Well sloppy wet husky kisses for you all. Im off to cuddle on the couch with mum and the others and chill.
love Polar xoxoxox

Jess & Harry >>
Posted: 31st January 2011

This is Harry with Jess who was " Dog of the Week " at Kingdom FM on Friday 21st January. Harry along with his wife Avril and their boys. are volunteers at the kennels, we value their input. We first met them a few years ago, they already had a German Shepherd ( Rebel ) and an Old English ( Bailey ) when they adopted Cody our Rottie girl, sadly Cody & Rebel have gone to the Bridge. After awhile they adopted Milly a chocolate lab puppy, then when they were up at night walking the dogs Axle a 6 month old German Shepherd, had come in who they took home, then they adopted Lucy another German Shepherd girl, no not quite finished yet they fostered Ruby a wee Jack Russell but had to give her up as we had a home for her, Sam a wee Jack Russell was the next one to be fostered yes you've guessed it they were failed fosterers !!! Then of course Jess was here and they do love their Rottie's. So now Jess has found her forever home along with her brothers and sisters.Jess & Sam share a bed !! Good news is they still come up and see to and walk our dogs thanks Guys x x Ps: Harry says I'm not smiling on the photo I said that's because you aren't having anymore dogs ha ha !!!

Saffi , Sam & Indiana >>
Posted: 31st January 2011

Hi Ena,

After a week of hell for Sam and after him having had 4 seizures, the vets have decided that he needs constant medication from now. So he gets two tablets a day. Not the most pleasant news, but hey, I love my kids and we will persevere!

We now have the 4 dogs, 11 cats and have just inherited a rabbit after his dad died last week. All get on well, but the rabbit just needs to settle into his home now. Still scared, but I suppose it doesnt help when Saffi wants to constantly clean it, and the poor thing has never seen a dog or cat in its life. But the rabbit is doing well.

I have some photos for you to see how well they are getting on. Saffi and Sam are both as happy as a pig in clover, so we couldnt ask for better. I see you have some lovely dogs on your website that I would gladly snatch from you, but I think we have enough kids at this moment, but if I had a bigger house, I would take any overflow, but you wouldnt get them back!

As you will see, Saffi, Sam and Indiana absolutely love the cats! Saffi in fact has this issue that she doesnt quite know if she is a cat or dog! She thinks she is the kittens mother and cleans them every chance she gets. Some of the pictures are not great quality but a couple of them are pretty good. I hope you enjoy them!

**********

Kim,

Sorry to hear about Sam but he is in good hands.

Thanks for the pics they are lovely look how gentle they are with the kitten. xx
