Race Night Raises £500 + Good News for the Kennels >>
Posted: 4th March 2007

This is John & June with their lovely papillon boys.

They had a race night in their home last August, thanks go to all their friends & neighbours who went along and supported them and had a great night by all accounts. The fantastic sum of £500 was raised and donated to us at Second Chance.

When June and John came along with the money we had a wee Bichon Frise puppy, who had been brought in by her owner to be rehomed. June was in love but as they didn't come looking for a puppy they went away home and obviously thought about Meg but were back before we shut! John said on a scale of 1 - 10 how sure were you we would come back and of course it was a 10!!

Home visit was done and wee Meg, who had quite an allergy to fleas so was missing some hair, went to the best home we could ever have found for her.

This is late being posted as Meg's owner who signed the wee soul over to us wasn't happy where we rehomed her and took us to the small claims court in February. We are highly delighted to say with help and support from James, June & John and a few other people WE WON!!!!

The 2nd pic is of Meg when she arrived at the kennels.

BARK in the PARK
As some of you may know, BARK in the PARK was held at Lochore Meadows on Sunday 30th July. Well, the months of preparation and hard work was definitely worth it, it was more successful than we could have ever imagined! The sun was shining, the atmosphere was buzzing and we got to meet lots of former Second Chance dogs. It was great to see lots of familiar faces and new ones alike. We would like to thank everyone who made the day as fun and successful as it was, that includes organisers, volunteers, visitors (human and dog!), and anyone else who took part!! Your help, support and generosity is very much appreciated. P.S we will be updating the website with photos from the event soon, so keep and eye out!
